A Schuylkill County man is wanted by U.S. Marshals for threatening President Trump and other government officials. Wanted... 26 – year old Shawn Christy of McAdoo. The search began Wednesday morning at his parent's home after executing a warrant. Officials say he is considered "armed and dangerous."
Moreland the Magician
A fun day at the Bloomsburg Public Library yesterday afternoon... as they kicked off the summer with a visit from Moreland the Magician. He's also known as David Moreland from Ithaca, N.Y. Moreland said his summers were spent at a library in Western New York State. Moreland got his start at the Bloomsburg Theater Ensemble back in the mid – 80's... where he preformed magic.
A 32.7-billion dollar state budget for the next fiscal year has won overwhelming approval in the state House. Lawmakers passed a budget blueprint on time last year, but it took several months to agree on a way to pay for it. House leaders say it's a different story this year, with both components of the budget included in this plan. It increases spending by less than 2 percent over the current year and holds the line on taxes. The final House vote was 188 to 10.
State House members have moved a slew of potential redistricting overhaul bills onto the chamber floor. But there's still no consensus about which one to actually pass. A total of six bills to overhaul the way Congressional and Legislative districts are redrawn in Pennsylvania are under consideration in the House. GOP Leader Dave Reed says the most likely one to proceed won Senate approval last week, giving the legislature and Governor significant control over the redistricting process, and including a provision to elect appellate judges by district instead of statewide.
PennDOT is hosting the state's first freight summit at Lehigh University in Bethlehem today. The impact of warehouses on freight movement across Pennsylvania and the wear and tear of trucks on the state's roads are among the issues the summit seeks to address. PennDOT Secretary Leslie Richards says while trucks moved more than 867 million tons of goods on PA highways in 2011, that number is expected to increase to nearly 1.5 billion by 2040.

Pennsylvania Dairy Industry
Challenges facing Pennsylvania's dairy industry were the focus of a hearing this week by the Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee. Committee members heard from PA Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, as well as representatives of farmers, milk marketers and retailers. The two biggest issues facing the industry are falling milk prices and a decline in the consumption of liquid dairy products, specifically whole milk. One note of encouragement expressed during the hearing is that more people are purchasing cheeses, yogurts, and other products derived from dairy.
Tenants were kicked out of an apartment building Wednesday on East Main Street in Plymouth after it was condemned. Our media partner Newswatch 16 getting a look inside some of the apartments and the building is a mess. There were dead mice on the floor, mold on walls, and even broken ceilings. Tenants said the landlord never lived up to promises to make the place livable.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has blocked the planned release of a report by the state attorney general allegedly detailing decades of sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. The two-year investigation by Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro included hundreds of cases from six Catholic dioceses, including Scranton and Allentown. The report was set to be released this week, but the state Supreme Court issued a stay on the release Wednesday in order to consider legal challenges to releasing the report.
Trump Executive Order
President Trump on Wednesday reversed his debunked argument that he had no authority to stop separations of undocumented immigrant families at the border, signing an executive order to keep parents and kids together. Mr. Trump’s about face came after he faced intense pressure from across the political spectrum and from religious, political and world leaders to halt the separations, which produced days of heartrending news coverage of crying children — some of whom were kept in cage-like detention centers. Just the day before, Mr. Trump had claimed his administration’s hands were tied without congressional action.
Kiddie Porn / Marijuana
A child porn investigation led to a drug bust in Monroe County. Police in New Jersey say Luis Montero had sexually explicit pictures and videos of a 14-year-old girl. He’s accused of threatening to send the pictures to the victim’s family. Troopers then finding 11 pounds of marijuana, along with other drugs when they searched his home in Cresco.
